NYA HARRIS

Nya Harris is a creative, originally from the DMV. Nya started off as a dancer and now has branched into writing, modeling, acting, directing, and choreography. Nya trained extensively in ballet and thus is very grounded in technical styles. Nya also has extensive partnering skills and can dance en pointe. She has trained in commercial, concert, and theatrical dance styles. Some highlights of her dance career were performing at the Kennedy Center with Ballet West, and performing in the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony under the direction of Debbie Allen. Nya's choreography has been nominated for awards (Most notably Broadway World DC). In her short time in Los Angeles Nya has starred in two short films which are coming out soon. In New York Nya was in a short film entitled Grounding, which was a finalist in the New York Film Awards. In the future Nya will continue to focus on both dance and acting, equally staying open to new opportunities as they come, and making her own with choreography and directing.
